Dear Parents,

We are delighted in Scoil Iosa that the School Completion and Mayo North East are funding the purchase and delivery of Jigsaw Puzzles to all the children in our school. We appreciate their generosity. Take a photograph of your jigsaw when you have it finished and we will post it on our school website.

When we do return to school, we would be very grateful if you would donate the jigsaws to the school. All the children will benefit if we have a plentiful supply and variety of jigsaws in the school.

• Improves Problem Solving Skills Figuring out where the pieces fit and where they don’t, introduces your child to the early math skills they’ll need to be successful later on.
• Traditional fun: We are swamped by technology and there are now very few hobbies that don’t require an app, TV or digital technology. Completing a jigsaw puzzle is a fun pastime and it gives us a break from the digital world, which is important to our mental well-being.
